You might also look into the puzzle, hidden object, or visual novel genres if you enjoy games with no combat. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is supposed to be heavy on exploration and I don't think there's any combat, but I haven't played the game yet. It is more like Minecraft than Endless Ocean but I do recommend it. Farsky is a PC underwater exploration game with a lovely sense of freedom to it. It is obviously a bit more basic as a game though. There are treasure and coin collectibles, and finding various fish etc. Grow Home also might interest you, it's just a game about climbing higher on a plant. Depth Hunter 2 is a close PC relative gameplay-wise to Endless Ocean. You just explore in a shifting 2D world and solve puzzles. Gone Home is a short exploration game where you walk around a house and get bits of a story, though I would only pick it up during a sale when it's less than $5. Mind: Path to Thalamus is also another game I've played that is mostly about walking around and solving a few environmental puzzles. They're both first person puzzle games and there's no combat in either except for some turrets that shoot at you in Portal and some roaming mines in Talos. While not technically pure exploration games, I could recommend The Talos Principle and the two Portal games.
